Passing on a big thank you to the Churches of St. Davids, St Ellteyrn’s, St Michael’s and All Angels, St Johns, and Christ Church for donating their old candles to Ukraine.
The candles have been taken by a charity called Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership (S.H.A.P). www.shapuk.org/candles-for-ukraine.
They will be taken to Port Talbot where they will be made into heaters, cookers, and lighting by prisoners on remand, and other volunteers, for those in Ukraine who have no electricity.
They will then then be dispatched to charities in Ukraine along with other vital supplies.
