Ruth spends most of her time in the Pentyrch part of the Ministry Area with some pastoral responsibility for St Ellteyrn’s Church, Capel Llanilltern. Ruth’s working pattern is most Sundays and some occasional offices

About Rev’d Ruth Coombs

Ruth was born in North Wales, and whilst she has lived in many places, always knew she would return to Wales. She was a licenced Lay Minister for many years before training for ordination at St Padarn’s Institute, Cardiff.

Ruth is a self-supporting minister, her ‘day job’ being Head of Wales for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

She is a member of the Social Justice Network (Wales) and has recently been co-opted onto the Governing Body of the Church in Wales.

In her rare moments of free time, she enjoys gardening and growing her own vegetables, walking, swimming, reading, and precious moments with her family.
