Please see below for full details of our Christmas Services. Across the MA we have a wide range of services so there should be something for everyone and if it’s not on in your church at a time that works for you why not go along to one of our other churches instead?
New Year’s Day
With December being such a busy time clergy are encouraged to take time off after Christmas and we will all do so in late December or January. Partly because of this and partly because attendance tends to be low the Sunday after Christmas, we shall only be having four services on 1st January, one in each of the former parishes. We thought that late morning services would be preferred so there will services of Holy Eucharist at: 10.30 at St Fagans and 11.00 at Pentyrch, Radyr and Tongwynlais (N.B. Ton, not Taffs Well)
There will be no services in our other churches on this day
Belinda
Belinda our curate has been given the opportunity of a three-month secondment with the Cardiff University chaplaincy team. This will start in January and run until April, when it is intended that she will return to the Garth MA in time for Holy Week & Easter. Belinda has accepted this valuable opportunity to explore chaplaincy work and will lay down her responsibilities within the MA for the period she is at the University. As the MA team is at full strength, we will be able to absorb most of Belinda’s work between us and we wish her
God’s blessing in her time with the chaplaincy department.
Election of our new Bishop
Thanks to all who contributed to the consultation regarding the appointment of our new Bishop. We factored in all the comments received in putting together a MA response which was in turn considered by those who produced the Diocesan Profile (which is designed to inform those who are being considered for the post).
