Holy Week and Easter Services 2026

Mary Magdalen announcing the resurrection

This winter it felt like we had almost constant rain along with colder temperatures, so during the season of Lent it has been good to witness the tell tale signs of spring. The early spring bulbs, the fresh green buds on the shrubs, the garden birds collecting twigs for their nests.

As we approach Easter we are again reminded of the power and joy of new life. The fruit, which falls to the ground and rots, leaves its seeds to germinate and grow into a magnificent tall tree whose canopy provides a protective space for a whole variety of life to thrive.

Across the eight churches in the Garth Ministry Area we have a variety of different services in which we follow the journey of Jesus from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, through Holy Week to the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday, his crucifixion, death and burial on Good Friday, culminating in his glorious resurrection on Easter Day.

Please do come and join us on this journey as we discover the joy-filled new life that Jesus’ death and resurrection brings to each of us.

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter on behalf of all the clergy and people of the Garth Ministry Area.
