About Rev’d Edward Owen
Fr Edward was born in Neath in 1973, he grew up in Port Talbot. He read Theology and Philosophy at St David’s University College Lampeter. Prior to ordination he was a secondary school teacher.
He was made deacon in 2004 and ordained priest in 2005. Fr Edward served his title at Llandaff Cathedral and has ministered across the diocese. Before moving to The Garth Ministry Area he was Vicar in the South Cardiff Ministry Area.
Fr Edward has been the Diocesan Spirituality Officer since 2012. He is a member of The Third Order of the Society of St Francis (TSSF). He is married to Philippa who is a former secondary school teacher, who now works as an SA in the television and film industry.
On Saturday mornings you can normally find him at Parkrun, he is a keener runner, marathoner and ultramarathoner (but of course he’ll never tell you about it).
