SUMMARY:Shrove Tuesday Quiz - Christ Church
DESCRIPTION:We are holding our annual Shrove Tuesday Quiz on 17 February 2026 at Christ Church New Schoolrooms in Radyr\, starting at 7.30pm and we welcome anyone who would like to join us from any of the other churches in our Ministry Area. \n  \nYou can either come as a team (we recommend teams of six but it’s not a rule!) or as individuals (who we can join into teams).  We have 60 places available.  Bring your own drinks and glasses (alcoholic or otherwise). Please be there by 7.15pm if you need to be joined into a team. \n  \nAs well as being a social event this will be a fundraising event for Christian Aid. Those attending are asked to pay £10 per head for entry\, which includes a light buffet and pancakes. There will also be a raffle and other chances to contribute to Christian Aid’s invaluable work across the world. Donations of prizes for the raffle would also be very much appreciated. \n  \nTo book places or for further information contact John Kiff or Nicky Webber by email at office@garthma.wales.

DESCRIPTION:Stardust Youth Theatre are a free to access\, non-profit community interest company which allows young people aged 10-18 to access the arts without financial barriers. \nRecently\, after an intense audition process (over 1000 young people auditioned and only 24 were selected)\, three of our young people have been offered places with the elite International All-Stars Performance Troupe. \nThis troupe will be travelling to New York in January to train with Broadway stars! \nWe are holding a fundraising concert on 14 September in Christ Church to help make sure they can take advantage of this life-changing opportunity. The three All-Stars as well as members of the Stardust cast and production team will be performing\, and the concert will feature songs by The Beatles\, Cher\, Frank Sinatra\,\nABBA and Queen alongside songs from family favourite musicals such as Sister Act\, Grease\, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Greatest Showman. \nTickets will be available on the door\, but if you’d like to reserve tickets in advance then please contact Lorien on 07305 608 149 or email  stardustyouththeatre@gmail.com. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start\, there will also be refreshments and a raffle\, it should be a fun and uplifting evening supporting young Welsh talent!

DESCRIPTION:Belief in the Holy Trinity is one of the unique and mysterious features of our Christian faith. It can strike us as just a baffling puzzle or an unsolvable mathematical problem. But it’s really much more like a drama – the story of who God is\, and of a love\, shared between Father\, Son and Holy Spirit\, that reaches out to embrace the whole of creation. \nIn these three sessions we’re going to explore the mystery of the Trinity as we study some key Bible passages together\, dip into a few important early church documents\, and look at some wonderful icons\, paintings and videos that have helped Christians reflect on the meaning and the drama of the Triune God. \nJoin us as we ponder what the Trinity means for us and the wider world today.
